Yes, it's really snowing. Portland, Oregon doesn't really get much snow. If it snows at all it rarely sticks. I spent most of my time growing up in Astoria, Oregon (Goonies) where it's at sea-level and snow isn't so plentiful either. When it did snow we made a time out of it, for sure. I want to go sledding RIGHT NOW. Man! I hope that the snow is still here in the morning. These Alaska and Minnesota friends of mine think it'll melt away by 10. Those dudes are just snow-snobs.
I'm sorry that I haven't been writing that much; I'll give you a quick run-down on upcoming events and the things keeping me from writing.
On Tuesday the 30th my band with Ritchey (The Badger King) is playing at the last 527 SE Pine Meow-Meow show ever! The Meow-Meow is moving to a new spot and this is the farewell... PORTLAND! COME OUT! Support the longest-running all-ages club!! They are so nice! Todd is so nice! I have seen and played some amazing shows in that space and I'm sort of sad to see it go. I'm sure the new space will be even better, but it's still sad.
On the 8th of January I'm playing a special show with my friend Zac at a really nice place called Dunes. It's special because my friend E*Rock has made a cartoon-video for the song SHTML off of my record Super Warren MMIV, and we're going to "screen" it for everyone at the show! It's so RAD. Zac's band is called Parenthetical Girls and he has a 12" EP coming out in February that you'll have to buy. 5 songs. One side is 5 songs mixed by a nice man named Jherek of a band called The Dead Science, and the other side is the same 5 songs, but completely different mixes by Jamie of Xiu Xiu. This record is GOOD. The songs are stuck in my brains.
I'm moving out of my apartment and into an art/warehouse space. Zac is going to be my roommate. My room is in shambles. Whiskers is confused.
I had the worst Christmas of all time.
I watched five episodes of a show called Curb Your Enthusiasm on my computer. I really, really love this show. Hopefully, I will watch the whole season before the year's end.
