Last night I was jamming hard with HOT SHOT Jason Anderson and 88-fingers-Rimsy for the real nice show tonight.. and yeah.. TOO LOUD! We were applauded with an intense door-pounding and a "NO AMPLIFIED MUSIC." This morning we received a very classic "rude awakening" with an eviction notice under our door. 72-hours to get the EFF out. Luckily our amazing friend and assistant-manager to the space where we reside, Curtis "Awesome-Dude" Knapp, saved our lives. The manager is not a bad guy. He's just looking out for everyone in the building. We were loud. We were ripping a secret song we'll play tonight.. so loud.. so inspired. Jason Anderson's band will be HOT tonight. HOT and ON FIRE. ALL-STAR lineup, dudes. ALL STARS.
Oh, so updates, huh? Ya'll want me to update this thing more? I'm sorry! Not only have I been chasing eviction notices and "dude, update now!" comments.. I've been recording a brand-new EP with The Blow, which is my nice friend Khaela. We're making a limited-edition release for a new series by States Rights Records and The Slender Means Society. The Blow's EP will be the flagship release with releases by Lucky Dragons, Thanksgiving and The Microphones/Mount Eerie following up shortly. The series is going to be so nice! You'll want every one!
What else? What's the picture all about? Well, I'll tell you! The picture is taken from our 6-person dance party (eviction exhibit C) where Jason Anderson was trying to do some sort of side-flip and landed on the concrete floor with his back. Cue slow jammz and have Khaela dance with a frozen veggie pack to his broken area.
