I'm starting a new trend. It can be as local as this house.. right here.. only here.. and be as global as every house/office/rabbit hole in the world. Wednesday is mailing day. If you have some things to send out, send them out on Wednesday. Got it? It's fairly simple. For instance, I sent out pirated software to a friend of mine in Minneapolis, a rent check to NW Portland and a DVD and "press kit" to a Danish man in London.

The latter of the three is a designer named Tord Boontje, and I'm soliciting work from him. I fell in love with some rough sketches of mobile lights he's designing.. the sketches were these flat pictures with animals and floral patterns.. but they felt stark in a way I've been looking for for a couple of years now. I've been looking for a very specific type of art for The Showering Dragons artwork, and I'm sure this man can make it. It's exciting to know that there is a man in London, seemingly willing to work with us, that makes something so specifically what I envisioned for album art.

Today Zac and I rode our bikes in the crummy Portland weather to Food Fight!, where we purchased some awesome stuff. We have a legit fridge right now. So much juice.. trying so hard to replace soda. I love Food Fight! and I love the people that own/run it. They are the nicest dudes. Oh, that just made me think of Dear Nora.. make sure you pick up the new album "Mountain Rock" when it comes out. It's so very good. Back to Food Fight!, yeah.. it's funny, I run into my old friends there almost every time I go there. The first time was really awesome because I hadn't seen them in a very long time. Now they have a beautiful baby and they're so cute it makes me want to cry.

That's all I got. Oh, I'm playing with Xiu Xiu at Holocene on Friday. It's an early show. Starts at 8 PM and I'm playing third. Consider this your invitation! Come say hello!
