Man, man, man. So messed! So messed, dude! SO MESSED. Walla Walla was cool. The opera was sort of weird.. not as good as it could have been due to the weird PA. It was quiet and muffled and mixed weirdly. Enough complaining, though... it was RAD to see my Walla Walla friends (for the 12th time in 2 weeks) and hang out with Ritchey and Steve on a cool short trip.

After the show we went to the Chinese food/Karaoke bar and got the meatless sesame chicken and meatless pineapple chicken... SO GOOD. Steve liked it! Steve liked it! There was a loud group of dudes all singing real loud so Steve and I investigated.. as we walked in I started singing along and this very, very, near-blindly, drunk woman punched me fairly hard, square in the chest and smiled at me in this "sexy," but actually creepy way. I tried to get away from her (and the chest pain) but both followed me a few steps into the corner behind the door. She started to sway her hips violently into me and kept repeating the phrase "shut up punk" at me. I really didn't like it. Steve and I left. After we finished eating we drove AWESOME Kevin home, he gave me his DVD of Spy Kids 3-D (along with 3 pairs of glasses), and we followed Blaise and Tara to the tri-cities on our way to Seattle.

So I drove the 272 Mi to Seattle. At first, well.. about 75 miles in.. I got really, really sleepy. I started to have mild hallucinations.. the mile marker looked like a man in a grey coat, my eyes were heavy.. all of it. So I pulled over at an Arco and bought an energy drink. That sort of helped. 30 miles later I got tired again. Steve suggested I popped one of the Ephedra pills he had in his pocket. These were the very same pills I bought in North Carolina in November when I drove from Asheville, NC to Florida.. I didn't have to use them then.. all I needed was Incesticide blaring and my two friends sleeping in the back to keep me awake. This was different, though. I popped the pill and I started to feel no-less than amazing under 30 minutes later. I got to Seattle at 5:30 AM, I hopped on my plane to NY at 7:10 AM. We stopped in Chicago for a quick crew-change and headed to Long Island. The plane rolled in at 5:30 PM, I hopped on a shuttle to the train station and got on a train to NYC's Penn Station to arrive at 7:04 PM. When I got off the train and got to the street I saw Rob standing there with a cute smile on his face. 20 minutes later Khaela and two very, very, very nice NYC kids rolled up in their small truck. Rob, Khaela and I rode in the back of the truck for 4 hours. Finally, we were at Bard College.. in the town of Annandale on Hudson, NY.

Dudes.. I felt drunk or dreaming or both. So weird. No real meal or sleep for over 24 hours. So weird. I ate a Vietnamese hoagie roll and ripped a real fun show. Rob and Khaela played such good sets. There was a piano.. so nice.

Thank you to Kyle, Charles, Tim, Jeff, Becca and everyone that were at the show. I love these crazy last-minute tours so much. I'm at Vassar college right now waiting for our rental car to pick us up.. I'll write about yesterday when we get to Ithaca.

LOVE TO YOU!

Truly,
Jona

Amazing show! Rob's right, the vibe was a bit odd at first. I think there were a lot of college kids burned on school, but you guys totally won their hearts and everyone was so happy from the show. It's the next morning and I am still riding a posi-happy warm vibe. Thanks for coming to Ithaca guys!

PS specifically for Jona - I am so impressed with your live show. I love Super Warren and Mike's Crest, but the aggro parts and the groovey, deep bass lines and more complex reworkings of older songs live show such an awesome level of depth to the music. So nice.

The show at Bard was great! Thanks again for coming. The Blow portion of the show was excellent, and the Bobby Birdman set had all the songs I would have asked for if I had commissioned a Bobby Birdman set ("I Said OK...The Wind Said No", "I Will Come Again.") Y.A.C.H.T. was cool, too. The songs rocked, but they ended too quickly! I was ready to dance and so on, but it flitted from awesome beat to awesome beat before I could. I suppose too much of a good thing is better than too little, especially when most of the shows at school are in the latter category.

Anyway, come back soon, if you get a chance. Both of the shows (first and second semester) were in the top three I've been to at Bard.
