Last night the tour officially started and boy did it (start). When we got to Moby Dick to sound-check I was almost falling over I was so tired from staying up biting my lip and tightly closing my eyes during the first Presidential debate. It aired at 3 AM and Adam and I watched every one of the 90 excruciating minutes. MORE OF THE SAME. Kerry is a dink, but so much less, almost frighteningly less, of a dink than G.W. I mean, I don't need to tell you this.. not to exclude anyone, but I sort of doubt there are any Republicans that are into my musics or read my site. I could be wrong, though.. stranger things have certainly happened. It's very important to me that you vote in this election, and that you vote for John Kerry. Feel free to email me if you want to talk about it.
Okay, okay, back on track. Moby Dick. We meet our tour manager, tour merchandise-friend and sound man. They are a group of hard dudes from the U.K. Roger, Dominic and Simon. These dudes look like they could take on some heavy crap. DON'T MESS WITH THE QUEENS OF SHEEBA CREW. These three men have been so kind, helpful and nothing but awesome so far and I'll keep you updated on that. (Photos of these brothers coming soon)
Then we meet our tour vehicle for the next 22 days. Its name is PHOENIX. It's huge and orange. It's massive and it's our home. Check it out. It's sort of crazy, eh? No, it's VERY MUCH CRAZY and it's not like Devendra is used to this either.. NONE of us have ever been on anything like this before. This tour, this bus, this whole deal is nuts! The bus has a DVD player on it... two TVs.. literally 50 or more DVDs.. beds.. a toilet.. I can't really handle it.
The show was incredible. Maybe one of the best shows I've ever been involved with. The Moby Dick was very much packed and sold out. The crowd was so warm and kind and full of energy and love. Devendra opened up the set with a couple songs by himself and then he introduced us to the audience and we played all the songs we knew. Devendra lost the set list he had made and we had to sort of fumble through it, but it ended up being magical. Devendra seemed to have enchanted the crowd with Spanish banter, but since I can't speak Spanish he could have been making fun of us or something.. there were a lot of laughs. Everyone played real well. Andy, Adam, Kyle, Devendra. Good job dudes.
Here's a video of last night starring "Captain Krizzle." (8.9 MB - VIDEO MP4)
Thanks to everyone for coming to the show and being so nice! I sold a couple YACHT CDs and a a T-Shirt that I made with Amelia. I'm so excited to start making a lot of these shirts and to sell them on this site. They're really pretty and hand-made.
I still can't believe this tour.. it's like a very weird dream. Today we're in Portugal and I'll tell you all about it after the show tonight. I'll try to take a lot of video and have something for you tomorrow. We'll be back in Spain and hopefully
To do list for this new site:
1. Make archives move and work properly
2. Add souvenirs
3. Add photos and movies to downloads

Hi! great show! I'm smiling in the pic ;-)
I bought one of the t-shirts, the green one, but it was for my boyfriend (i'm small). Please let me know when you'll start selling girl sizes! they're lovely. I saw faces of dissapointment around me when I bought it, seems like many people wanted it
