Be careful.. if you're ever in Louisiana and you're around Noah and Sam (see above link) it will be a drag. They won't let you pay for ANYTHING. They'll drive you around, even to your shows that are hours away. They'll make you a bed in their home and treat you to everything they have. Okay, it's not a drag at all. These are two amazing boys and I love them a lot. THANK YOU. Thank you, dudes. I LOVE YOU.
Baton Rouge was a little weird. RJD2 wasn't very good. I liked Lyrics Born, a lot. He was really nice and his show was hot. The promoter had added 3 bands to the bill and was totally discombobulated. The show wasn't exactly perfect, but it was still really fun and I met a lot of nice people. The next night in New Orleans.. oh man. KILLED IT. Totally killed it. Noah drove, we talked ghosts and aliens, we got some Beignets, we ate incredible Indian food.. we had an awesome New Orleans night. I danced and sang a little. I totally felt the fire. Big ups to Michelle.. whom I think.. inspired me to start posting video on this site. She used to live in Miami and sent me some video she took of my show there in the spring. SUPER BIG UPS to Laura and Joel. I love you two so much. Thank you for setting up such a fun show and for being so cute. DUDES RULE.

Wizards and Gongs

So Austin totally RULED. Paul took us out for Frito Pie again! It was so good it made his head hurt. I love our gongs so much. Why are they called gongs? The dude at Toy Joy was very nice and told us a little about them.. not enough, though. Dave gave me something called "ORGANTRON I" and I love it a lot. Thank you. THANK YOU GUYS!
Marfa. I don't even know what to write. We saw a light. We saw a Pizza Foundation. So tripped out. So super-tripped out. MARFA. What is your deal? We're moving to Marfa in January of 2006. ALL OF US. Okay?

Driving in Texas
(7.4 MB - VIDEO MP4)
Ahh. A detail I forgot about: If you look real close during the clip where we drive by a load of cop cars, you can see that there is a plane that has crashed on the freeway. It was a real small plane, but a plane nonetheless. What? What happened? Can anyone find out what happened? West Texas.
The warm car. It can be your best friend AND your worst enemy. When it's a chilly-willy Texas desert-night and you've just spend upwards of an hour staring at the horizon where you think you've seen something like a UFO dance all around before becoming stuck in the air.. the car with the heater blasted on high is just about the best thing in that little slice of time/space/world. Then, that same car, even with the heater set all the way to the cold side.. when it's been sitting in some Louisiana thick-heat, or some New Mexico sun, it just gets gross. All in all, I love you car and your two faces of heat.
Did you forget about the Cat Gallery? Don't forget about Trivet. AMAZING CAT. Can you believe this picture? What?
I'm leaving out all kinds of important antidotes and details.. maybe I'll come back and add some stuff. It was very late and many miles when I wrote this..
Woah, you can buy The Blow EP I made through the iTunes Music Store now. I just found out about this right now. Woah.
hey i heard you guys listening to rachels! a little egon scheile maybe, amazing!!
a cat drinking out of a straw, rachels, texas... this website has it all!
thank you soooo much for coming to arizona, you have one of the most amazing live acts I've ever seen. please keep making good music and collaborating with great artists. i hope html works here
Its wing fell off and it crashed, killing pilot and passenger.
Apparently that model of plane has a history of wing problems.
The pilot was a Texas Air Ace. They do mock air combat.
Good thing it didn't fall on anyone!
Peace out. No air combat.
i wanted to go to your show in austin so bad but i missed it due to some lame happenings; anyway, come back to texas anytime, you can stay in my house or something... just come!
<#
I hate to ask, but when will you be putting up video from your AZ show. I really would appreciate watching it. And I can't remember the URL for that site with that program on it.
Am going to your show tonight, so looking forward to it...if you happen to check this, I'd love to know when you're going on...
thanks so!
