Recording is harder than I had remembered. Khaela and I are trying to get our new full-length (working-title is "The Touch Me Feeling") done and ready for the fall. Since I'm going to be touring with Devendra Banhart in the summer we need to have it done real soon. People in Europe, I hope to have it for you when we're there in June, July and August. I think that it's going to be the best thing either of us has ever made.. we have this feeling left over from all the places we played on our last tour that we're trying to squeeze into the computer.

I wish I had some of Calvin's new stuff to show you too.. I added a beat to the end of a song I really love called "When Hearts Turn Blue." Mirah and Khaela sing such amazing back-ups/harmonies on it. I've had it stuck in my head since we were in Olympia last week. Here's a cute picture of Calvin.

Hot dog! Speaking of cute pictures I have to show you something, guys. Curtis is an amazing man. He's the very handsome man behind Marriage Records and father to the beautiful Fox Lou Wallace Knapp. Curtis and Laurel have a joke that Fox is the very pushy CEO of a two-employee company where they work and never get anything right.. "Jerry come on.. did we mess up the faxes again? Please don't cry." That sort of deal. Jerry is a deep dude. Check him out.. he's pondering something.

Oh, have you seen the new Blow video yet? Big super-thanks to Justin Lowe, E*Rock and Mike Merrill for working on it for free. It was Mike's idea to center it around a Magic-style card game, Justin shot and edited it and E*Rock did all the animation. I think that this is a beta version; there are a couple cuts that I'd like to make. Yeah, thank you guys! Stay tuned for a lot more video stuff.

We're putting together a very big tour for the beginning of May. I don't mean big in the sense of a lot of shows or days.. actually it's only going to be two weeks at the most.. I'm talking about the force that we're going to tour with. Nothing is confirmed and this is a little bit of a secret, but it's looking like The Blow, Anna Oxygen, YACHT & Pash are coming to you, east coast. Now that that's out there it's your job to get us to you. Do you go to a school that puts on shows? We'll come play for you. Do you put on shows? Dude, talk to us.
