HEADLINE: Jona Bechtolt's "MEGA WEEKEND" comes to a close with a mildly boring trip to the local hospital. Bechtolt says: "Stitches actually hurt more than you would think. Maybe? I'm not sure how bad you think they would hurt to be honest."

The third and final YACHT release party happened on Saturday night at the Doug Fir Lounge here in Portland, OR. I was feeling tired and sore from the two previous nights, but as soon as I started playing I caught the spirit and danced harder and swung the microphone with more force than ever before. I ended up swinging the mic like a windmill a little too fast, which resulted in me catching it with my face. The mic came at me too fast to dodge and smacked me real good while slicing my upper lip just about in half. I saw stars and thought maybe I had broken my nose, cracked my teeth or split my lip. I spit out a mouthful of blood, slid over to my rainbow handkerchief and tied it around my face to try and stop the bleeding. It was pretty dark on the floor at the club, that must have been it, right? I'm usually so good with hand-eye coordination things.. I guess this proves that to not always be true. This was during the FIRST song, so I could hardly stop.. show must go on, right?

I'm real sorry to everyone at the show that wanted to talk, buy records, or whatever after the show. I was still bleeding and I had to go. I haven't even gotten paid yet! I have to call those dudes and get my scrillz. Thank you to Talkdemonic for asking me to play the show and being so nice.

Big ups to the kids from Syracuse for coming to the show right off the plane! Super-duper-huge ups to Amelia for taking care of me, calling hospitals, driving me to the ER, waiting in the ER for 3 hours with me and holding my leg while I got three stitches. (I took that picture a couple days ago out on the fire escape of my apartment building-so pretty!) Big ups to the laceration cart . Big ups to Dr. Dan Friedman for stitching me up. Also, big ups to Dr. Pepper whom I haven't seen so much of lately.

I have a new movie of Amelia's and my trip to the hot springs ready, but it doesn't seem to fit in this post. It's nice. Deep forrest and everything. I'd never been to any kind of hot spring before. Ah! Whatever, here's the movie:

This is a movie-blog, isn't it? It sort of is... right? You come here expecting to see photos and movies, right? MULTIMEDIA, right? I not about to disappoint anyone. Movies for everyone! No matter if they don't fit in... You don't want to see groadie stitches! There isn't any footage of that anyway! I'm outta heeeerrreeee....
