I don't think I can write words to accurately describe how much I truly loved Miranda July's new movie. I was lucky enough to see it on Monday night as part of the PDX Film Fest by Peripheral Produce. Really.. I'm not just blowing smoke here.. It made my heart hurt in this way that I sort of loved and sort of didn't love. Deeply. Like, right now just thinking about the movie and Miranda and how I hope that this movie just explodes into the air and everyone sees it.. it feels so overwhelming and inspiring. It will be in theaters in June. Make sure you see it.

The web-based project Learning To Love You More.
After the movie we went to a new sushi place above the American Apparel store. It was loud, there was a horrible DJ, free PBR and only one poor girl waiting on tons of people. Miranda has a camera that is mostly for taking web-sized video, which is totally how I use my still-camera. I really love the medium so much. I want to make more things with it, what do you want to see? I want to see how the picture she's taking here turned out. Before leaving the sushi place and coming home to finishing the new URBN*HNKG site, Susan and I changed clothes, then changed back.
CRITTER CORNER: Could you be Ultimate Blogger? You should apply. It's going to be interesting. Today I installed Tiger...
Truly,
Jona
dude, how is tiger? did you start fresh like we talked about? is max running? what about other stuff? i want to know about it. did you throw it on both computers? i am going to go eat crepes. -- flint.
Hey Jona, do you know if they are selling posters online for the Bordeaux Festival show??? I want one BAD!
allô. i would like to see more still-cam videos involving sports and where people call each other Sport. disc golf, 3 pt basketball, skorts, etc, etc. if you could do that for us, i'd be one happy. sports can be a loosely interpreted rubric. if you want to include wizardry--well, that's kind of sporty. it's competitive. i'll count it. go team yacht, summer '05.

Dear Jona,
Even if I win the title of Ultimate Blogger, we will have to find a way to split the prize due to the fact that I find you much more deserving of the title. I've got a lot to learn. I don't always understand what you are saying, nor do I care so much, but I know words, and how people use them. And as a man who as our mom so proudly exclaims "has never set foot in a high school", you use them well. Kudos.
Your Brother,
Joel
