Broze Own Teaser Movie

Khaela and BARR played totally awesome shows at The Kitchen on Friday and Saturday night. I spent most of Saturday in bed in Brooklyn watching television and truly "vegg'ing" out in front of the TIVO'd television with Marisa and Julianne before the second Kitchen show. As soon as the show ended I sat up and looked around only to see my old friend Dave Longstreth at the top of the aisle, drenched from the oppressive rain New York kept throwing down on our heads. We gathered a group and headed to Kate's Joint, one of my favorite places to eat in New York. I ordered the McKate; a vegan version of a Big Mac. It was one of the most satisfying burger-eating experiences of my life. At midnight Dave, his friend James, Khaela and I headed to a theater down the street to see Cremaster 3. Khaela and I had never seen it before and it totally blew our minds. Agnostic Front vs Murphy's Law? I got back to Brooklyn around 4 and I crashed so hard.
Rob arrived in New York at JFK International around 5 AM and I had left a message for him telling him I wouldn't be able to pick him up from the airport because I stayed up too late. My phone rang around 8 and Rob was at the door. The poor guy had a traumatic trip to Brooklyn from the Airport where he struggled with his bags, broke a suitcase wheel, and ran from puke on the subway. Rob, I officially apologize.
Eric got in a couple hours later and Rob and I drove out to the Airport to pick him up. We sat around for a bit, ate some Cambodian lunch, Khaela showed up and the four of us headed to New Jersey to play on WFMU. Thank you so much Dan (OCDJ) for everything! We borrowed some drums, a bass, and a guitar and jammed out about an hour of stuff for a show that airs on Saturday the 29th at 8 PM. You can listen to a live MP3 stream of WFMU anytime.

Welcome To The First Zones

Yesterday we hopped in the car and headed to Northampton, Massachusetts for a MEGA mash-up show with Lucky Dragons and The Blow. We got to Northampton and met up with SJ, our super courteous vibe-guide, and ate literally the best college campus meal any of us had ever had. How did they make that casserole so good? Luke played a really, really tender and energetic set that ended with a song/game where he asked the audience to give a stranger a compliment during the quiet part. Two people told me they liked my scarf I bought at a fabric store in Providence. AFRICAN PATTERNS.
I really like this photo of Rob and me that Khaela took during E*Rock's set.
WE'RE ON. BROZE OWN IS ON, DUDE.
Hey, if you know of some way to get the three of us into Disneyland for free, we would honestly love to go so bad. Do you work there? Do you have guest passes or something? Email me if you have a way to realize our dream. THANK YOU!
Wow, I just scratched the back of my head and found something similar to the early stages of a dread lock.. I think I need to start brushing this sickly long hair, it's getting almost too grunge for me. With that, we're out.
Truly,
Jona
I have been finding real dreads in my hair lately too; so I truly understand the horrific recognition of 'I haven't combed my hair for literally months.' but I bought a comb recently. You should try it, it's really helped me.
so, if you get to go to disneyland does that mean you WON'T be playing here in l.a.??? i'm not sure how i feel about that! ;)
Go, Giraffe Sweater, Go!
I'm so glad you guys saw Cremaster! My friend Puffy's brother makes props for Matthew Barney. He made all that clearish white plasticy stuff, and he plays a tattooed dude in the punk band scene in the Guggenheim. His son, Puffy's niece, is the cute little redheaded kid in the very beginning if the movie.
Glad you liked Smith food. I ate it for 4 years.
Should you fail to find a Disney hook-up, here a guide to plan B:
