BROZE OWN: NEW NEW NEW LONDON & YORK

Northampton was such a ruler! I don't know if I really got it right in the last post but there are some observations I need to state here as not only a reminder to myself, but also to put this good feeling in the air for people to subconsciously pick up on for later shows. It is truly awesome to see people genuinely into and dancing to weird music they haven't heard before. That is radical.

New London was a total trip. It is trurly starting to get freezing over here. We got into town super early and walked around what we thought to be the main street for a couple hours before settling in a coffee shop and jamming on the internet for a good 3 hours or something. I bought a sweet tie-dye and a shirt promoting a man named David and his Cookies. We met up with Aaron Snow of the epic band Landing and headed over to the show. A very nice man named Sean brought us to New London; a place that I had previously never heard of before. For some reason when the shows are smaller I feel more ready to go deeper and take the show to a weirder place. Note to self: analyze this later. In the meantime, check out this sweet SH. THRILLER!

New York has been like a temporary but awesome home for me the past week or so. Marisa has been taking such good care of me in my fragile state and treating me like a true roommate; something I could only dream for in Brooklyn, New York. Thank you, friend. I feel so lucky to have gotten the chance to hang out deep with Julianne after admiring her and her radical writing for so long and not really hanging out so deep in Portland. I miss you Marisa and Julianne!

Kick It!

So Eric had this idea for a movie we should make. It started off as a little blurb that would just be thrown with the tour movie but then somehow kept our attention and turned into something bigger. I'm going to share the very first edit with you; here you go:

Creamaster 3™
(13.8 MB - VIDEO MP4)

Thanks to Sean in New London for bringing us there! Thanks to Dylan of New York for setting up our show at the Cake Shop and to all the people that came and danced so hard.

Next up: Two days in Pennsylvania, the most Grand of Rapids in Michigan, and the 2nd of 3 BROZE OWN teaser movies!

Truly,
Jona

james voges @ October 31, 2005 11:01 AM

Jona, What should I bring to you in Denver? You Rock!

A Fan @ October 31, 2005 3:30 PM

after watching that delicious creamaster video, my body forced me and a friend to go out and get doughnuts. it was a brilliant idea.

COLIN MICHAEL @ October 31, 2005 6:56 PM

whenever I think of Cremaster I just think of that fucked up bloody-mouthed thing-beast on the cover. Because I have not actually seen the film. You have given me the image of three hot dudes sucking out the innards of donuts with which to replace that upsetting original image, and for this I thank you. P.S. I noticed how you did not actually eat the custard. BECAUSE YOU ARE VEGAN. Ah, Jona Bones, you find ways to incorporate your moral beliefs seamlessly into your art projects. For that I also thank you. p.s.s. NOTHING

ritchey @ October 31, 2005 8:48 PM

ha! i was thinking about asking you that when you showed it to me... i thought custard was a 'not for vegan' type thing. anyhow... i was too wowed by the whole thing, and forgot to inquire.
