It's true. It's fully, totally, really, super-true. Finally I'll be able to get car insurance at a good price! Finally I'll be able to rent a car in certain states, Oregon included. I think 25 is the very last birthday with any foreseeable perks excluding wicked senior discounts.
I can't really articulate how incredibly excited I am for the show on Friday. So far I've received pieces from Claire Evans and Geneviéve Castree, and I'm expecting to get Phil Elverum and Bobby Birdman's junk in the next few days. The rest of the stuff is either a local yokel or a performance of some kind. What I've gotten so far has exceeded my already high expectations of my friends and blissed-out my heart so deeply.
I haven't really explained the show, so here it goes: On Friday, December 2nd, 2005, I turn 25 years old. I'm hosting a public birthday party (YOU ARE INVITED) at an all-ages space in Portland, Oregon called Nocturnal. Nocturnal used to be a popular venue but has since ceased hosting shows and is only available for rental. So I rented out this space and emailed and text messaged some of my friends and asked if they would make something new for a non-musical show I'm curating. There is a loose theme of "DREAM FORT," which is a fort I built inside of my apartment, no big deal. There is also a loose theme of 25, which is how old I'm turing. For instance, Geneviéve sent me 25 framed drawings that will sell for 25¢ each. There are going to be performances from Willow doing something with toasters to Flint doing a stand-up routine with PowerPoint. All in all it's going to be a really special night and I'd love it if you came. Here is the flyer and here is the SuperCal entry with all the details.
DO YOU HAVE WHITE, OFF-WHITE, OR LIGHTLY COLORED SHEETS I CAN BORROW FOR FRIDAY?
I need 'em if you got 'em. Leave me a note in the comments and we'll hook it up, okay? I will take care of them and return them to you on Satruday. Thank you!

Email me if you don't have anything to do in Portland, Oregon on Friday morning.
UPDATE: My stereo receiver just broke. I guess I need one of those.
Guys, I've been the most happy and fruitful homebody ever to exist in the world. I've been glued to this new computer and the result of this sticky situation has been wholly satisfying. There are all kinds of new YACHT songs coming out of the USB 1s and 2s, and, holy shit, I made two Mirah remixes for her new remix album. Maybe I'll put them on MySpace? I have abandonded my "no swears" code of honor regarding this website, but, mind you, I will be adhearing to a strict "swears only as legitimate exclamitories."
For some reason I didn't post a video back in May. I've had it just sitting here on the desktop of this desktop computer (that has now grown larger and newer since the movie was made) and I can't figure out why I didn't post it.. Maybe I thought it was boring because I was making The Ultimate Blogger movies and that was all about crazy standards. (Season 2 is in the works, by the way). Well, I ask you this with conviction, friends. I ask you this with a pure heart and a clear head.. DO YOU WANNA HAVE A WEST COAST PARTY?

Oh man! Susan Ploetz has a quick cameo in the end where she asks how to spell persona! I miss her so much! Susan I miss you! What are you doing in Taiwan?
Truly,
Jona
The show in Tacoma was radical. We played in a rotunda! It started off real small and grew to be pretty awesome. The Blow played first after the three of us (The Blow, YACHT, and Anna Oxygen) jammed for a couple "songs." Then I played and forgot to play these new songs I have.. then Anna closed it out with some old and new jams. It was fun! TOUR REUNION!
I couldn't believe how cold it got and I'm pretty sure the I-5 was at least a little frozen on the way home.
1. I LOVE SUSAN/PASH when is she getting back from TAIWAN!?
2. what should we expect at this party? what should i come prepared with?
3. i have a sheet i use but its kinda gray in the middle from dead cells and dirt on my body. want it to borrow?!
I don't need any sheets. I spent $35 and an hour at the bins and I found some total gems.
THANK YOU, THOUGH!
