RAVE OR DIE

Guys, I'm fully exhausted. We're all exhausted; Steve sometimes crashes in the Dream Fort while I'm editing, and so does Mike. We've gotten to the point in the Ultimate Blogger project where it has become increasingly stressful and hard to make everything happen. Since we're not shooting with my still camera anymore (we're using a 24P) we have to pay attention to things like "lighting" and "DV" and "whatever." Turns out, using real lights does something... I'm not sure what it does, though.

It's not all for nothing. We've even gotten recognized on the mean streets of Portland a bunch. INTERNET FAMOUS! Now if this could only translate into INTERNET RICH somehow. I'm sure we'll be making a weird television show in a couple years because of all of this... just you wait.

Here's the playlist and a RealAudio link to the radio show I put together for WPS1. I think they will have a high-quality Mp3 for download sometime in the future, too. For now you can download my 128 kbps MP3 (It's 63MB).

In other news: I'm putting together a video/audio/audio/video show for a festival in Houston, Texas at the Aurora Picture Show on April 21st. I'm also putting together a special performance with Khaela for The Blow at On the Boards in Seattle, Washington, also on April 21st. Figure that one out, dudes. Also, I learned how to dunk.

CREDIT: A lot of these photos came from James' (Ultimate Blogger champion from Season 1) Flickr stream, so check that out. I've been a bad documentarian up until a few days ago. I'm getting back into the swing of things.

PS- I just watched 2003's Freddy vs Jason.

PPS- I just found this on YouTube (it's a show I played with Devendra in Paris last September:

but than i get home... and sure enough, i've seen it. or maybe i am getting confused with chucky vs aliens? predetors? man... i dunno what im talking about now.

james @ March 13, 2006 2:10 PM

Ryan @ March 13, 2006 3:06 PM

I don't know if I'm allowed! I did TWO remixes for her new remix album and I'm really stoked. I think the Architecture in Helsinki remix I made is the best remix I've ever done. Stay tuned for that and for a Copy remix I'm working on right.

Jona @ March 13, 2006 3:35 PM

Get some sleep.

BOOM!

Jona @ March 14, 2006 10:43 PM

Your "Dream Fort" spells "Ream Fort" dude.

Dude's getting fucking reamed in that picture.

Andrew Verne @ March 14, 2006 11:59 PM

Homie, I am so excited to enter in the "talking about the nuances of Freddy" phase of our relationship. FRASON MOVIE.

claire @ March 15, 2006 6:56 AM

I'm with ryan. we want the blow one. sweettalk khaela a bit.

marda @ March 15, 2006 1:05 PM

The Blow track is on a 7" we made for Tomlab. Since there are only two songs on it I probably shouldn't put up an MP3 just yet. You can buy it here.

Jona @ March 15, 2006 1:41 PM

jona,
you should remix my beard.
ill send the parts to you.

greg @ March 15, 2006 3:55 PM

ewwwwwww! BEARD PARTS! That sounds like a future Carpark compilation.

Jona @ March 15, 2006 4:24 PM

The Architecture in Helsinki remix is one of the best ever! You're making love with them all.

Cedric @ March 16, 2006 3:25 AM

I spent a night at the Aurora Picture Show when I was tagging along on the FOUND tour earlier this year. The family who owns it are the sweetest people ever.

Javan @ March 17, 2006 11:55 AM

OK, here you go!

You can hear the Blow song "BABAY" on our MySpace profile here:

Hey Jona~

I really like your reality tv show. You might remember me, we played a show together in Manhattan, KS at The Dusty Bookshelf.

I've been working on a weekly podcast/college radio program called The Radio Project, and our mutual friend Joey Murphy is doing the web design.

Anyway, please check it out, and pass it along to anyone who would be interested. We are always accepting submissions!

kyleklip @ March 20, 2006 2:22 PM

hey Jona!
Glad I didn't totally TOTALLY miss your two &the universe shows even though i DID, which is to assume they bore some slight resemblamce to this Power Hour? Very glad to hear it regardless, and thanks as always.

I like how in this video you're off someplace when the music starts and totally dash over to the drumset. So smooth I can't begin to guess if it was choreographed.

yay!

ro6 @ March 20, 2006 4:50 PM

thankyou Jona! your're so soft, but I think you found the perfect compromise. I can see why you don't want to give the song entirely away.

martha @ March 21, 2006 11:43 AM

hey jona-

i want a t.

let me know how to obtain one.

hope things are swell!

rita

rita @ March 26, 2006 2:17 PM

Hayaiei. 1. Can I get a t.? 2. I tried donating "$0.00" to UB2 through PayPal but it wouldn't let me. 3. Say hi to Claire for me!!!!!!!! 4. Tell me if she says hi back 5. I'm not sure how it happened, but Whiskers dropped 9 tabs (kitty-sized) of acid right after you left, called the cops on me for illegally parking my car in my front yard, and now we're all in big trouble because it's illegal to give acid tabs to a minor and the cops won't believe that she's almost 83 (since she looks so spry)... let alone that I was at WORK when she took (stole) the acid (from David's night stand). 6. Have a good time in San Diego!

Rebecca @ March 28, 2006 3:34 PM

if you guys ever seriously want to start making funny tv shows, let me know, i'm pretty good at bringing the laughs and the dvx100 is my bitch.

dalas @ April 1, 2006 11:04 AM

What is up my old friend? I am going to school in Phoenix and am a grade school janitor at night. It is boring and I have access to a computure. I stumbled on this web sight and realized you had something to do with it. Hore you are doing well.
