Hey everybody! I'm putting on another festival show in Astoria, Oregon this weekend. It's called Catch That Beat and it's essentially an all-day show featuring all of my favorite performers (that could drive out) including:

Mount Eerie, Bobby Birdman, Thanksgiving, E*Rock, Valet, White Rainbow, Copy, Faerie Talk, Pash, Riddenpaa, Atole, Dites Donc!, Tom Blood, Joey Casio, Sarah Shapiro, Hurricane Nicholas, Universe, Hooliganship, JC & The Killers, Marisa Meltzer, Andrew Kaffer, The Watery Graves, I'm Alex, & MORE!

The Portland Mercury printed an interview with yours truly today that you can read online right here. I would like to give a very special shout outs to my publicist over at AndoPR for keeping the focus on the positive and making sure the Mercury didn't run some bullshit fluff piece on this very serious festival.

On Saturday the 26th through Sunday the 27th of August, Bechtolt will host the third annual Catch that Beat festival in Astoria, OR. Like an espresso shot of NW talent, the fest packs 27 bands into 14 hours, and follows up the next morning with vegan pancakes and more fun to boot.

Catch That Beat 3 is on Saturday, August 26th in Astoria, Oregon at The Astoria Yacht Club (1555 W Marine Drive Astoria, OR 97103). We're starting at 12 Noon on the dot, all ages are welcome and there will be food and drinks. If you'd like to stay the night in Astoria bring a sleeping bag, tent, or whatever you need to feel comfortable. We're all invited to sleep on my friend's farm! THIS IS GOING TO BE EPIC!

Comments (14):

EVERYONE IS INVITED AND ENCOURAGED TO SLEEP OVER!...

...We're going to have legal sleeping arrangements, possibly on an amazingly beautiful farm. STAY TUNED!

I am tuned.

....?

YES! There is LEGAL and awesome camping. We will have a procession AFTER the show where we can camp out on the farm of a radical man I've known since I was 7 named CRABBO. Bring flashlights, tents, sleeping bags, whatever you need to be comfy!

SEE YOU ALL TOMORROW!

If you need help finding a ride, check out the message board over at UrbanHonking. I also started a new thread about camping if you have any questions.

godfre @ September 2, 2006 3:44 PM

what i would do to go to catch that beat 3! except for take time off of school and work and really screw myself. what amazing bands. i still listen to that hour of power mix you did for clear cut press, it's on my ipod, what a perfect thing to listen to every once in a while on the subway or walking home from school. i really enjoy every part of it. you know, I wish there was more like it.
the other stuff from art radio is pretty neat too.

take care, christina

the show was really rad! thanks Jona and everyone else!
I'm wondering about the posters you said would be sent out. have you sent them yet? I was just wondering because sometimes it takes extra long for me to get stuff because I live in japan.
thanks
