Watch as this entry grows, sort of in realtime. Right now it's 7:34 pm on Sunday and we just spent over 18 hours in the car driving from Tijuana, Mexico back here to Portland, Oregon (over 1,000 miles). I was almost certain that we'd have to employ heay-duty across-the-border-bought stimulants to accomplish this goal, but here we are with our heavy heads and no apparent side-effects! I mean, we're exhausted, but we're not wasted. We have to catch a flight to New York tomorrow at 7 am and I think we'll be fine.
Remember how I mentioned Tony? Well here's a proper introduction:

Thank You Tony

This entry is fragmented and will grow into completion over the next hours.
I'm starting to feel more human now. I ate. Jac left us some cookies and mini-cupcakes on the stove and holy shit are they good! Jac, our friend Matt, and Claire's parents are flying out to New York for our Kitchen show on Tuesday. Our friends blow my mind on a daily basis.
This micro-tour came to be because of two main elements, the first was our falling in love with Flint's performance he gave at What-The-Heck? Fest over the summer and the necessity to practice our new show we made for Rhizome's 10th Anniversary show we're doing on Tuesday. I've been really, really nervous about this new show and I'm so deeply thankful that we had this chance to both tour with an awesome dude that hadn't ever experienced touring before, and to walk away feeling really awesome about this show after doing it 4 times in Anacortes, Portland, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, respectively. I'm still nervous as all hell about doing this particular kind of performance, just because it's a little bit different than anything else I've done before. That nervousness is also exciting as fuck to me.
ANACORTES, WA - flyer
We rolled into Anacortes during this thing called Oyster Run, apparently a motorcycling-based event, and headed straight to a barbecue at Bret's house with horseshoes, kids, and deep Anacortes community vibes. Coolest way to be welcomed into town.
Then we roll into the Department of Safety and setup our show in the small art gallery instead of the big venue space. It seemed like the best way to contain our vibe and make the show, which totally worked, but there ended up being a lot of people that couldn't see in to the gallery and we're sorry for that, guys. It was our first real time doing the "We Love A Computer" show that we made for our Kitchen performance and it felt amazing to finally have all of the pieces together and have people react so deeply to the different parts. THANK YOU GUYS!
PORTLAND, OR
I forgot to pick up Dalas to bring him to the show. Eric couldn't find a ride and didn't show the new Wyld File videos. Our friend Jac's roommate Emily set us up at Reed in their really beautiful chapel. We met up with her in the afternoon and spent a good while getting the setup together and admiring the idealic college vibe and classically ornate architecture of chapel and men's restroom. Flint has some serious lighting and our show ended up requiring 3 computers and 2 projectors, almost as much equipment as if I were playing in a rock band.
SAN FRANCISCO, CA - flyer
Claire and I did our first artists' talk for Flint's Photoshop class at SFAI after our drive from Portland (we did it in 10 hours). The next day our show was at CCA in a big studio called CG-1. Our friend Kyle had graduated from CCA a couple years earlier and was shocked at all of the new buildings and studios that had popped up. Our show was an actual disaster, but ended up being amazingly good for communicating the stress and failure zones in our show. I mean, the show is about our relationships with our computers and the drama involved, so technical difficulties only help the show seem more authentic, right?
We woke up to a new piece by Jake Longstreth: Jake wuz here.
LOS ANGELES, CA
We got to Los Angeles on Katy's golden birthday, which was the day after Rob's golden birthday. I think these golden forces really inspired our best performance of the show to date. The audience really reacted deeply to the nerdy jokes and our friends and the Betalevel sweethearts really made us feel comfortable. Deep energy guys!
Here's a photo of Flint @ Betalevel.
and...
Here's Ritchey'sreview of her night, including an awesome bit about the show.

I really wanted to see Claire's performance, but oh well... Maybe on another occasion :)

Yay for new news! Yay for Tony!
Also, Donnie moved upstairs with Josie and me. He stayed in a drawer under the crib for two days but now he's a real creature in the world. He's turning into a man of many moods. Sometimes a lounger, sometimes a fearsome combatant, sometimes he appears in the guise of a comedian or a laughing child. Always though, you will know him from the hunger n his eyes. . . .
Looking forward to the updates. happy blast-off to the rotten apple and lands beyond . .. ..
