DOUBLE UPDATE: YACHT ON A YACHT has sold out! There's still a few pairs of tickets up for grabs via contests that you can win. The afterparty has been MOVED from OMSI's auditorium to the larger space of Disjecta! Double positive-whammy is that this could be Disjecta's last show ever in its current location.
Thanks so much to everyone that bought tickets on the yacht! If you bought tickets for the OMSI show you'll automatically be upgraded to Disjecta tickets, and if you don't have tickets you can buy them right here, or at the door at Disjecta on Saturday.
NOTE: If you've already bought tickets your name will be listed at will call at the yacht's dock and Disjecta's door, respectively.
To celebrate the release of "I Believe In You. Your Magic Is Real." I'm hosting a release party in two parts here in Portland, Oregon on Cinco de Mayo, May 5th, 2007. I cordially invite each and every one of you, from across the Pacific, through the Atlantic, and back across the USA. Does that even make sense? If you don't live here in Portland, you still have about a week to buy your plane tickets, and anyone that flies out will automatically get on the guest list and a big hug from Y.T.! I've tried my hardest (along with Chantelle of Blackbird Presents and everyone else I know in this town) to make a fucked-up special party that's cheaper than most Crystal Ballroom shows and way more interesting! Shows don't happen on boats here! Shows don't happen at OMSI here! I'm so excited!

Above all else I want this to be a 100% PURE FUN. Do whatever you have to do to find this mindset and I'll see you there. BOTH of these shows are all-ages and I didn't want them to be expensive or exclusive at all. Part 1 became a problem in the realm of exclusivity since the Crystal Dolphin can only fit about 120 people on board. So, we're going to sell 50 spots on the yacht for $20 each, first come, first serve, which will also get you a copy of the album AND entry into the OMSI show as well. In addition to these tickets we're also giving away tickets through the Portland Mercury, Willamette Week, UrbanHonking, KPSU, and right here, right now.
CONTEST
OK! I want to give away a pair of tickets to the first person that can email me a photo of themselves showing me some magic. I'm leaving this open to be interpreted. In addition to winning a pair for yourself, I'm also going to give you a pair that you're in charge of giving to someone that doesn't have a computer. Deal? DEAL. The winner and their submitted photo will be posted right here.
If you'd like to sponsor this event, or if you just have an extra $5 burning a ungodly black hole in your pocket, feel free to donate:
So good to see you in Big Sur, buddy! What a rock star entrance. Have so much fun at your record release. Wish I could be there, I know it will be totally EPIC!
in exchange for all the positive thinking I can muster up and toss out to the universe, all i really want is a yacht on the yacht ticket...

I will be there. I think. I'm buying tickets in an hour. I think.

sleep deprivation and my art opening made me a little kooky.
i'm friends with the high places lovelies so i thought i'd share my silliness with you. i can't wait for the new album to come out. i didn't go to the rhizome show but i hope to see you play in person someday. if you like getting mail, i'll send you some embroideries and drawings that me and my friends like to draw while listening to your stuff.
