There was a big earthquake in Japan today. My heart goes out to you and yours. Just the other night Claire and I were at the Mori Tower and I was scared of the idea of an earthquake while we looked out at Tokyo. The earthquake today was centered 100-something miles away from Tokyo, but word is that the skyscrapers were swaying for almost a minute. I can't even imagine how scary that is.
On a lighter note, we're home safe and sound in Portland. I played a crazy block party as part of a Bastille Day celebration hosted by Pix, a local and fancy patisserie here in North Portland. There are a ton of amazing photos floating around on the internet, and my friend Judah took some video that I'm sure he'll post on Vimeo or his awesome blog.
Here's part 2 of my YACHT in Japan video series.
Truly,
Jona
